This painting arrived through a turmoil of emotion, before I could put words to what I was feeling, the colors began to speak.
Pink and red tones carry the intensity, tenderness, anger, longing, and everything tangled between them. Signs emerge and disappear, like thoughts trying to make themselves known. And then there are the scratches of black, marks of the words I couldn’t say, the feelings left unexpressed, the things that stayed buried beneath the surface.
Everything Unspoken is about what happens when emotion has nowhere else to go. When silence becomes too loud, the canvas becomes the place where it can finally exist.
Some things are never spoken. They are felt. They are carried. And sometimes, they are painted.
